Working on water

Geolift 1 – jack-up platform

EnviroTerra's Geolift 1 jack-up platform enables geotechnical drilling, borehole testing and CPT testing in waters with depths of up to approximately 17 to 20 metres, depending on soil conditions.

The platform has a size of 18 x 18 meters and is modular. This allows the platform to be easily transported by road and the pontoons can be mounted on site using a crane.

Thanks to this modular structure, the Geolift 1 is particularly suitable for projects in hard-to-reach or remote locations, where the mobilization of conventional equipment is often expensive or practically difficult.

Wizard 1C – Machining Pulse Shelving (2x)

The Wizard 1C is a compact drilling rig on caterpillars, developed by Drillcon in the Netherlands. Due to its manoeuvrable design, the machine can be used in locations where the workspace is limited, without sacrificing drilling capacity.

Thanks to the powerful turntable, the Wizard 1C is suitable for various mechanical drilling techniques in loose and unstable soil layers, such as sand, clay, peat and gravel deposits. The machine is used, among other things, for pulse drilling, auger drilling and hollow-voice auger drilling.

Depending on the soil structure, drill diameter and chosen drilling method, the Wizard 1C can be used for drilling to considerable depth. In addition, use from a pontoon is possible, making the machine also suitable for work on or near water.

Most powerful

Nordmeyer DSB 1/5

Our Nordmeyer DSB 1/5.5 is our most powerful drill rack, equipped with a rotary head and turntable. This allows the casing and drill bit to be driven simultaneously, making the machine very suitable for drilling large diameters and working in complex soil and rock formations.

Within EnviroTerra, this drilling rig is mainly used for the realization of deep pulse and nuclear drilling.

Reliable probes

200 kN stand-alone CPT probe set

The stand-alone CPT probe kit consists of a 200 kN probe unit with two hydraulic cylinders and manual control valves. The unit is equipped with a stainless steel housing for the data logger and computer.

The set is powered by a diesel-hydraulic power pack with Hatz diesel engine, placed in a sound-absorbing enclosure. In addition, the installation consists of a hydraulic pump and an anchorage system with hydraulic key and ground anchors.

Our CPT equipment is used, among other things, for probes from our jack-up platforms, so that reliable in-situ measurements can also be carried out overwater.

Underwater nuclear drill system

In order to penetrate rock layers from the seabed and collect representative rock samples, EnviroTerra has developed this underwater core drilling machine.

The machine is mainly used for shallow drilling, for example for dredging. By drilling directly from the seabed, the use of costly jack-up platforms can be avoided in many cases.
